HUTCHINSON, Kan. – One person was taken by ambulance to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center after a one vehicle accident Wednesday night.
According to the Reno County Sheriff’s Office, 45-year-old Kimberly Dawn Borntrager was injured after the vehicle she was driving struck the embankment of the diversion canal at 17th and Roosevelt.
A passenger, 43-year-old Tina Bell reported minor injuries and refused transport by EMS. A second passenger, 21-year-old Dominique Ford-Minor reported injuries and was evaluated by EMS at the scene. He also refused transport by EMS but was later transported to Hutch Regional by private vehicle.
All occupants reported wearing seat belts. Both driver and passenger side airbags deployed.
The accident which occurred around 9 p.m. is still under investigation according to sheriff’s department officials.
