HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Two people arrested in a drug distribution case both waived their preliminary hearings in the case.
Nicole Hays is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of hydrocodone and possession of drug paraphernalia, all with intent to distribute. She’s also charged with possession of marijuana and personal use drug paraphernalia.
Dustin J. Caldwell is charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
The case starts with a search warrant being executed at a home back on April 27 in Hutchinson where, inside a bedroom, they allegedly found several containers with a crystal-like substance, a vacuum sealed bag of marijuana, a black container of marijuana and a plastic bag with meth and marijuana inside. They also found a black digital scale, glass smoking pipes and, inside a pair of jeans, they found nine hydrocodone pills.
In total, the meth weighed 57.6 grams and the marijuana 13.3 grams.
With the two waiving their right to a preliminary hearing, that means the two will face trial, unless some sort of plea agreement is reached in the case.
