HUTCHINSON, Kan. – A 38-year-old man charged by the state in a meth distribution case was arraigned on all eight charges in front of Judge Trish Rose Friday where he entered, “not guilty” pleas.
Ryan Peterson earlier waived his right to a preliminary hearing in the case. He was arrested on the charges on May 23, 2014, after a drug search was conducted at a home he shares with Lacey Nelson. The state alleges that law enforcement found a Pyrex dish with a white powdery substance, a digital scale with meth residue and new packaging materials.
Charges included manufacture of methamphetamine or in the alternative, attempt to manufacture, possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, possession of morphine, oxycodone and hydromorphone. He’s also charged with possession of marijuana with a prior conviction and possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute.
With the arraignment out of the way, District Judge Trish Rose set a pretrial hearing in the case for Oct. 15.
Peterson is free on bond.
