HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System Board Chair Kim Moore, with the assistance of the full Board of Directors, has begun the task of identifying the qualities and characteristics of the leader who will guide the system in the future.
“Healthcare is changing rapidly,” said Moore. “And we are looking for a leader who can balance the need for more information, greater transparency and more value with fiscal responsibility and long term viability.” During the next few weeks, the Board will evaluate alternatives and determine the attributes desired for the successful candidate, fine tune the job description, and establish the process to follow for making a decision about a new CEO . “We take this responsibility very seriously and, as the stewards of this vital community resource, we will endeavor to find the most qualified individual in the most expeditious manner,” said Moore. “In the meantime, we have the utmost confidence in Ken Johnson, our interim president, his executive team and all of our employees, to continue to provide the kind of healthcare services that this community deserves. The presence of this leadership team gives us time to do the search process right without undue hurry.”
