HUTCHINSON, Kan. – A 50-year-old Hutchinson man now has five cases filed against him for stalking and violating other protection orders.
Scott Devault was back before Judge Joe McCarville for two cases. In both, he’s charged with violating a protection from stalking order and stalking. Those cases go back to Aug. 18 and 22nd.
The three other cases against Devault allegedly involve the same victim.
One of the cases goes back to June 5, where he’s charged with three counts of stalking and one count of violation of a protection from stalking order. The next case goes back to July 11. In this case, he’s charged with burglary, stalking and violation of protection from abuse order.
And in the third case from July 23, Devault is charged with stalking and violation of the stalking order.
According to the Reno County Sheriff’s Office, his bonds total $35,250. His request for a bond reduction was denied by Judge Joe McCarville and the cases will come before the judge on Wednesday afternoon as part of a waiver-status docket.
