HUTCHINSON, Kan. – An informational meeting sponsored by a new non-partisan group, Citizens for the Moderation of Our Democracy, also known as the MOD Squad, is scheduled for Friday, August 21, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the lobby area of Strataca, formerly known as the Kansas Underground Salt Museum, located 3650 E. Ave. G in Hutchinson.
Speakers for the evening include John Scott with InterFaith Housing, superintendents from four of the six public school districts in the county and former gubernatorial candidate Paul Davis.
The speakers will summarize how the state’s current fiscal policies are affecting their organizations while Davis will comment on our state’s current direction.
The MOD Squad is looking for moderate-minded people who would like to work on ways to bring common sense back to our state. Their mission is to engage and inspire change in public policy by facilitating a healthy democracy for all Kansans.
