Hutchinson Fire crews responded to the 1707 E Blanchard for the report of a structure fire just before 7:30 p.m. Friday evening.
When they arrived, they found smoke and visible flames showing from the rear of the structure.
The fire was controlled in approximately 30 minutes with an estimated $6,000 in damage. Fire personnel remained on scene for a few hours while overhaul procedures and investigations were conducted.
The fire remains under investigation, however fireworks have been ruled out. The home was unoccupied at the time of call and there were no injuries.
