Hutchinson, Kan. – The Kansas State Fair has solidified its final acts for the Nex-Tech Wireless Grandstand with Three Days Grace and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts.
Joan Jett is the leader of the hard-rocking Blackhearts. She has had eight platinum and gold albums and nine Top 40 singles, including the classics “Bad Reputation,” “I Love Rock ‘N’ Roll,” “I Hate Myself For Loving You” and “Crimson and Clover.”
Not only does she sit at the head of her own independent label, Blackheart Records, but Jett has made additional strides. She has acted in movies and television, including 1987’s Light Of Day and in a Tony-nominated Broadway musical, “The Rocky Horror Show.” Jett even appeared on “Oprah” and “Law and Order.”
Three Days Grace consistently connects to audiences through hard-hitting, honest and hypnotic anthems. The platinum-selling, chart-topping, record-setting quartet continues that tradition on their fifth full-length album, HUMAN. The band consists of Matt Walst (lead vocals), Barry Stock (lead guitar), Brad Walst (bass) and Neil Sanderson (drums, percussion, keyboards and programming).
Seizing that signature spirit, the first two singles from HUMAN, “Painkiller” and “I Am Machine,” both reached No. 1 on Active Rock Radio. Those two songs became the band’s twelfth and thirteenth No. 1 hits and solidified them as the record-holder for “Most No. 1 at Active Rock.”
Tickets go on sale for these Nex-Tech Wireless Grandstand events on Friday, June 12, at 8 a.m. and can be purchased at the Kansas State Fair ticket office by calling 1-800-362-3247 or at www.kansasstatefair.tix.com.
