CHASE, Kan. — Fire crews with three different departments responded to a structure fire early Sunday in the small town of Chase in Rice County.
When they arrived, fire crews quickly took battle to the fully-engulfed single family residence.
Although the home was a complete loss, fire crews were able to quickly contain the fire from spreading to any nearby structures. No one was home at the time the fire started and the owner is currently being assisted by The American Red Cross disaster team for the displacement.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, however, fire officials say it didn’t appear to be suspicious in nature.
