HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A 28-year-old man made a first appearance Monday morning on charges of aggravated battery and criminal damage.
Rodolpho Baldemiro Saquic-Vasquez is accused of choking his girlfriend in an on going dispute. The two apparently began arguing Friday evening and he is then alleged to have battered her and then using both hands choked her. She did manage to get away. He’s also alleged to have damaged property at the home.
In court, his bond was left the same at $5,250, however, there was also mention in court that he may in the U.S. illegally, so there may be an immigration hold put on him as well.
He’ll be back in court Wednesday or whenever the state files formal charges.
