ORLANDO, Fla. — Siemens has been awarded an order from Pattern Energy Group Inc. to supply, support installation and provide long-term service for 65 wind turbines for the Amazon Wind Farm (Fowler Ridge) to be located near Fowler, Ind.
Installation of the wind turbines is scheduled to begin in July of this year. The project is expected to start generating power in the fourth quarter of 2015.
The nacelles and hubs for the project will be assembled at the Siemens facility in Hutchinson, Kan. The blades will be manufactured at the Siemens blade facility in Fort Madison, Iowa. The transformers will be manufactured at the Siemens’ transformer facility in Richland, Miss.
