HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Club house may not have all of the services it needs, and the course might be a little rough around the edges, but after three years of dormancy, Cottonwood Hills will open again for golf on Friday.
The course, located on Buhler Rd, was closed after developer Lane Neville could not secure the necessary funding to keep the project moving forward. The property was sold at auction to the Bank of Camden in Tennessee before being purchased by Wichita banker Drayton Alldritt. Club Pro Matt Sietz says the course is in great shape noting it was a major undertaking in getting the 18 holes playable again. Sietz says the club house isn’t up to where it needs to be yet and the course it waiting on various permits to make that happen. Tee times are being taken and can be made by calling 620-878-0087.
Cottonwood Hills opened in 2007 but was put up for auction in 2012. The course was designed by professional golfer Nick Faldo.
