Severe weather possible Friday afternoon, evening

Severe weather is possible across the Region this afternoon and evening. The greatest coverage of storms is expected to be across Central and Northeast Kansas, with more isolated storms further south into South Central Kansas. Supercell type storms are possible (mainly within the enhanced threat area) with very large hail up to tennis ball size, damaging winds, and a tornado or two.

Today  Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 4pm. Some of the storms could be severe. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 73. South southeast wind 13 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Tonight Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 1am. Some of the storms could be severe. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52. South wind 11 to 16 mph becoming light and variable after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Saturday Partly sunny, with a high near 73. West wind around 14 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Saturday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 44. Northeast wind around 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Sunday Partly sunny, with a high near 62. East wind 11 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mp
