HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Now that the special sales tax for renovation and additions to the Hutchinson 
Sports Arena has been approved, the Council will be considering several approvals at their regular meeting on Tuesday.
That includes the appointment of a Building Committee. The Building Committee will serve in an advisory capacity to the City Council throughout the duration of the project. The purpose of the building committee will be to lead and guide the process of renovation and expansion of the Hutchinson Sports Arena within the parameters of the approved Sports Arena referendum.
The following names for appointment to the building committee include: Darrel Pankratz, of HCC; Council member, Jon Daveline; Bob Fee, representing the American Legion; and at large members Ron Sellers, Steve Drach, Cindy Proett, Richard Gray. Staff Support will be made up of City Manager, John Deardoff; Assistant City Manager, Merryl Dye; Parks Director, Justin McComb; and HCC President, Carter File.
