HUTCHINSON, Kan.— Numerous township roads are closed due to the large number of power poles knocked down by last night’s storm.
Reno County 911 says that the township crews, along with Ark valley and Westar crews, are working to clean up the damage. Along with the township roads, these main roads are also closed.
K-96 South from South Hutchinson to the K-96/K-14 junction.
82nd from Salee to Pennington
56th from Yaggy to Monroe
Monroe from 43rd to 56th
Also, the traffic signals at East 30th and Severance in Hutchinson are blinking as a four-way stop due to damage to the traffic signal. That will remain in place through some time tomorrow.
Westar says power could be out in some areas for days. Crews from contract electrical companies and KCPL have been called in to repair the damage.
