BUSHTON, Kan.- A 24-year-old Wichita man was killed in an accident just before 8 a.m. Wednesday up in Rice County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a Dodge Caravan driven by 27-year-old Raul Martinez of Wichita was westbound on Kansas 4, three miles west of Bushton. His vehicle went left of center into the eastbound lane, left the roadway, entered the south ditch and struck culvert.
A passenger in his van, Antonio Herrera-Salas Wichita was pronounced dead at the scene.
Martinez and another passenger, 29-year-old Nicolas Quijas-Cruz, of Attica, were transported to Via Cristi St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
None of the men were wearing seat belts according to the report.
