HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Police are investigating an attempted aggravated robbery of a local convenience store early Monday morning.
An employee of the Pic-Quik at 901 E. 11th reported that a white woman entered the store about 6:20 a.m. and demanded cash. The clerk started to grab at the suspect as she laid down a black handgun on the counter, but the female suspect then ran out of the store with no money.
Police are reviewing video from the store to see if that helps in their investigation.
They did make a traffic stop of a vehicle with a female driver that kind of matched the description of the woman, according to Police Lt. John Moore, but they couldn’t identify her as the suspect.
Needless to say, the woman didn’t get any cash and luckily, no one was injured.
