HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The City of Hutchinson and Reno County have announced that they have partnered with each other to offer a new emergency notification system, called “CivicReady.”
On March 1, CivicReady will be replacing the current CodeRed system and will offer more advanced warning capabilities that provide geographic-based hazard warnings through text message, email, and phone calls. Citizens may sign up for the alerts by visiting the new alerting website, http://ks-renocounty.civicready.com. Individuals who are currently enrolled in the CodeRed system will still need to sign up for CivicReady warnings.
