HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Red Cross Month is coming up in March and the American Red Cross has already scheduled a number of blood drives in out area and your chance to help others by donating blood.
On Monday March 2, the Red Cross will be at Haven High School from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The next day, on March 3, they’ll he at the Career and Technical Education Academy, 800 15th Circle in Hutchinson from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Then on March 5, they’ll be at Nickerson High School from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

They say all blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age (16 with parental consent in some states), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood.
High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
