HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Notices were sent out to parents of Hutchinson High School yesterday after a 
student was found on campus with a BB gun. The incident was reported just before 3:30 p.m.
The student was detained and law enforcement was notified. All indications show that the student had no malicious intent, nor were any students in any danger.
The school district, as per policy, will handle the situation according to its rules regarding guns on school property.
The district said they will not release the name of the student involved.
