Two men arrested for aggravated battery, aggravated assault and aggravated burglary were in court Monday morning for first appearance on the charges.
25-year-old Adam Shannon and 27-year-old Johnathon Wayne Beer were each arrested at their homes after they allegedly broke into a Hutchinson apartment and threatened and struck the victim with a hand-gun resulting in the victim having a broken jaw, that according to statements made by Assistant District Attorney Andrew Davidson.
They were both arrested by Hutchinson Police Detectives and in court, both sought relief from their 25-thousand dollar bonds and were denied by Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen. Beer apparently has had some run-ins in the past with law enforcement for charges of criminal threat, flee and elude, aggravated arson, and disorderly conduct.
Beer was allegedly the primary attacker striking the victim in the face, but Shannon also allegedly struck the victim as indicated in court.
This occurring early Saturday morning and both men will be back in court on June 5.
