TURON, Kan.— A scary moment, but fortunately no injuries, in a two-vehicle accident involving a Fairfield USD 310 school bus.
The Reno County Sheriff’s department reports that the bus was hit by a dune buggy driven by 27-year-old James Knoll of Turon around 3:50 p.m., at the intersection of 2nd and Duncan. There were 19 people on the bus at the time of the accident, including 17 students, but again, there were no injuries to any of the occupants. Knoll also escaped injury in the crash. Parents were able to pick their children up from the scene and take them home.
The accident remains under investigation.
