HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The November sales tax numbers for Reno County show a pretty good increase over last month and November of 2013.
According to the numbers released Monday, the county collected $423,858 for November, compared with $402,278 in October and $404,492 in November of last year.
So far the county has collected $4,254,318 for this year with one month left to go. At this time last year, the county was at $4,089,638. That means the county is ahead of last year by $164,680.
Sales tax numbers for November refect sales in the month of September.
The sales tax collections for the building of the Reno County jail and other improvements also show an increase over the last reported number. In September, the county collected $522,279 compared with $495,688 in August. So far, the tax has generated $4,756,447.
