HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Eagle Media has known for some time that a group of residents had plans for the old Wilder’s 
Restaurant, but we were asked to keep quiet until they were ready to announce it.
Since it has leaked out, we can tell you that a group lead by Steve Peterman is planning to open a restaurant and microbrewery at the location in the 2600 block of North Main.
Peterman confirmed the plans but would not elaborate on them at this time. The building was purchased by Barry Mayfield at auction for just over $300 thousand. The group plans to lease the building from Mayfield.
No time table was announced for the opening.
