HUTCHINSON, Kan.— It was several years ago that the Hutchinson USD-308 Board of Education changed the way they conduct their meetings, turning them from business driven agenda that dealt with financial matters to dealing strictly with learning.
Last night the Board of Education reviewed the district’s math education during the past year, deciding progress had been made in most areas.
The Board voted to approve the Results 2 Math Report, during their agenda session.
USD 308 Board uses the Coherent Governance model for evaluating how the district is doing in a variety of areas. Because of the model, the Board examines all academic areas in a public meeting at some point during the year, setting goals for district staff.
Most of the business side of meetings once discussed and approved by the board is conducted during their superintendents consent agenda.
