HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Where does the money go that is raised by United Way of Reno County? It goes into helping people like Andy and Angie Ratzlaff who were invited to join Circles of Hope, a United Way supported agency. According to Angie being a part of Circles has “changed their life”. The Ratzlaff’s were introduced to budgeting skills and other tools that have helped them get to a more financially stable place. They were matched with Allies (volunteer mentors) that helped them stay on the ladder and keep climbing.
A gift to United Way currently supports Circles of Hope and 30 other agencies with 55 programs throughout Reno County. United Way has heard from hundreds of community members who have joined the rally to raise $1.5 million for the annual United Way of Reno County campaign. Partnering with United Way of Reno County is the most efficient and effective way to create lasting community change. United Way has a deep understanding of the broad needs of Reno County and strategically invests in areas where money is most needed and positively affects our community. The money goes right back into creating opportunities for a better life for all in Reno County. To date $730,160. has been raised representing 51% of the $1.5 million goal.
United Way is working collaboratively in new and innovative ways to improve lives and build a stronger community. It will take the community to rally together to continue to make progress on deep ingrained issues. Your contribution to United Way of Reno County is an investment in our community’s future. Mail in your gift, stop by the United Way office, donate at the website or if timing is not convenient, community members are invited to make a pledge now and pay that pledge anytime in the upcoming year. Most employers honor a payroll deduction pledge for the upcoming year.
