Hutchinson man killed at Midwest Iron’s east facility
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson police have identified the individual who was killed after industrial accident at the Midwest Iron and Metal facility at 3000 East G, Thursday afternoon. He is 29-year-old Joshua Tacy.
Reno County EMS apparently responded to that location and Tacy was suffering trauma injuries and was taken to the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
During the investigation it was found that Tacy had been struck by a piece of machinery that is used to load metal into train cars.
The industrial accident reported just after 2:30 p.m.

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Police responded to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center Thursday afternoon after they receive a report of a man taken there after a possible industrial accident at the Midwest Iron and Metal facility at 3000 East G.
Reno County EMS apparently responded to that location with a possible person not breathing or code blue. That person was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police were still investigating this evening with the incident reported just after 2:30 p.m. Sgt. Rob Rowe says he was still waiting on investigating officers to return from the scene.
No name has been released pending notification of next of kin.
