HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A 35-year-old Hutchinson man well known to law enforcement was taken into custody Friday afternoon after he allegedly took items from a local store without paying.
Police were then called and Sonny Bray then allegedly fought with law enforcement while being taken into custody. This occurring at Tractor Supply at 1203 North Lorraine around 4 p.m. Friday afternoon.
Charges include battery of a law enforcement officer, battery, theft, criminal damage and felony interference with law enforcement. Bray is also being held on a probation violation and failing to appear in court in another case. His bonds total $15,250.
Bray is no stranger to the system with prior convictions and prison time for aggravated battery, criminal possession of a firearm, burglary, criminal damage, theft and criminal discharge of a weapon and aggravated weapons violations. Those crimes stretch of a period from 1997 to 2004.
Unless he makes bond, he should make a first appearance in court on Monday.
