HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A 37-year-old man already facing violations of his community corrections is in more trouble after he was arrested after a Hutchinson man says someone pointed a handgun at him during an argument late Saturday night.

Dustin Hartman was jailed for felony interference with law enforcement after Donald Sport of Hutchinson alleges that a black male pointed the gun at him during an argument. However, there is no indication that a black man was arrested.

38-year-old Jeffrey Tipton was also at the scene and advised of criminal trespass at the home in the 700 block of West 9th.

In court, Hartman was asked is he had any comment on the $1,500 bond for the new arrest and he said “no.” He was also told of his community corrections violations in two older cases, one going back to 2009. In that case he was convicted of forgery and making false writing. He faces a sentence of a year and a month in that case. The other is from 2013 where he was convicted of theft and faces 10-months in prison in that case.

His bonds for all three cases total $9,000.

The disturbance occurring on Saturday night around 11:15 p.m.
