SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Reno County Public Works announced Thursday that, due to significant wear and damage, the small bridge on Loredo Road between 56th and 69th Avenues will be removed and not replaced.
Public Works Director Dave McComb says the removal of bridge is the only alternative to completely replacing the structure that gets little use. McComb told the County Commission earlier that the Castleton Road bridge is also being removed and will not be replaced. The county is trying to determine which small spans can be removed to help cut costs.
The Loredo Road bridge will be removed starting Monday.
