HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A 59-year-old Hutchinson man arrested on May 29 by Reno County Sheriff’s Detectives in a child sex case is scheduled for court Tuesday morning for a preliminary hearing.
Harold Dryden is charged with two counts of electronic solicitation of a child 14 to 16 years old, two counts of indecent liberties with a child in the same age range. Dryden is also charged with sexual exploitation of a child for having possession of a visual depiction of a child under 18.
Dryden was a mentor at Victory Village in eastern Reno County and the crimes involve a child who was here from Colorado. The time frame for the crimes is between May of 2010 and January of 2012.
The alleged crimes were not reported until last year which began the investigation by detectives with the sheriff’s office.
He is free on a $50,000, bond.
