HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A special event is coming up later this month that will benefit the Reno County Toy Run Association.
The Christmas in July 5K run takes place July 26th with the race starting at 7:30 a.m. at the Rice Park Shelter House. The race will take participants out on the Jim Martinez trail and back to Rice Park. The cost to participate is $20 for adults and $15 for children under 12. The price goes up $5 on race day. All proceeds will fund the annual motorcycle toy run, which is held each November to provide gifts for children who might otherwise go without during Christmas. If you would like to enter ahead of time, you can mail your check to Reno County Toy Run Association Chairman, Alan Turner, at 1402 W. 19th Ave., Hutchinson, KS 67502. You may also register the day of the race.
