HUTCHINSON, Kan. – A 33-year-old Hutchinson man who has an extensive criminal history and was just released from prison back on June 30, is back in jail after he was stopped by police in the 700 block of North Adams.
Jeremy Frischenmeyer is alleged to have been in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and simulated substances.
He was apparently at an apartment in the 200 block of West 8th, where he was apparently not welcome. He was arrested on the drug charges and also advised of criminal trespass for being at that apartment. This all occurring just before 4:30 p.m., Monday afternoon.
In court Tuesday morning, he told Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen that he was pretty much released from prison onto the streets, however had earlier indicated that he might be staying with his brother. However, he says he and his brother are not getting along.
He requested of reduction of the $13,000 bond, but the state objected. Assistant District Attorney Andrew Davidson commented on his criminal history. He was just released from prison for three burglary convictions going back to 2011. But, he also has other convictions for burglary, forgery, theft and possession of drugs. Davidson indicated that he has a severe drug problem. Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen agreed and denied the reduction of bond.
Frischenmeyer will be back in court for a status hearing on July 16.
