The two people arrested on 34- charges associated being in possession of synthetic marijuana, bath salts, and potpourri were in court Monday morning where they argued various pre-trial motions, before the case goes to trial. The state had added another count against each one, that being “conspiracy to distribute drugs.”
71-year-old Donald Gregg and 61-year-old Karen Gregg are both charged in the case for crimes allegedly occurring on November 17, 2011.
The raid occurring at the Corner Store at 1210 E 4th. There were well over 500 individual containers of potpourri with the JWH-210 compound, K2, and other brands of herbal incense, methamphetamine, and fake social security cards, handguns and a large amount of cash that was all seized.
The defense during the hearing Monday did drop a motion to suppress after they had alleged that the officers lied on an affidavit about making a buy at the business in order to get a search warrant. The state apparently provided information providing proof, so they dropped the motion.
They also argued the usual pre-trial motions.
Both will have jury trials later this summer, but will be tried separately.
