HUTCHINSON, Kan. — One person was injured in a two vehicle accident in rural Reno County Wednesday evening.
According to the Reno County Sheriffs Office, 20-year-old Donna Brown of Hutchinson was driving on Mohawk Rd., when she failed to yield to an oncoming truck driven by 59-year-old Don Hamblin of Kingman. This at the intersection of Red Rock Rd. She struck the pick up truck and both vehicles ended up in the ditch. A passenger in Brown’s car, 18-year old Shelby Pound of Hutchinson,was transported by Reno County E-M-S to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment of a leg injury. Brown and two other passengers were uninjured as was Hamblin, and a passenger in his vehicle.
Brown was issued a citation for failing to yield. The accident occurring just after 5 p.m., about seven miles south of Hutchinson.
