HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson fire crews responded to a structure fire early Wednesday morning.
The call came in around 1:40 this morning from the 1200 block of east 2nd Avenue. When crews arrived, they found smoke and flames coming from a residence. Crews were able to bring the fire under control in about 15 minutes. The fire was confined to the living room of the home. The residence was empty with the windows boarded up, although utilities were still connected to the structure. Cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
The fire caused about $5,500 in damage and there were no injuries.
