HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Todd Strain of Reno County Emergency Management says that despite the very heavy rain that fell north of Hutchinson Sunday night, he does not anticipate any flooding in the county, at least for now.
Some areas north of the county received more than four inches of rainfall Sunday night. Strain says Cow Creek near Sterling did rise rapidly Sunday but was back down by late last night. With water levels finally down in this area, little flooding is forecast.
Strain says that could change if more rain falls later in the week.
