HUTCHINSON. Kan. — The search for a prison inmate who walked away from his work release job over the weekend 
has narrowed.
The Department of Corrections believes that 43-year-old Christopher Ward is in Sedgwick County. Ward walked away from his job at Cal-Maine Industries in Chase on Saturday.
Ward is serving an eight-year sentence for theft and burglary. He also has a prior conviction for aggravated escape from custody.
