A man charged with two counts of aggravated assault, criminal damage, aggravated battery and two counts of criminal threat will face trial, but will come at a later date .
This for an incident on July 5, of last year when Deandre Pannell allegedly took a vehicle that didn’t belong to him without permission and when the victims in the case confronted him to get the vehicle back, he allegedly came out of the vehicle he was in at some point, broke a window in a van the victims were in and threatened them with a hatchet. One of the victims testified that she was terrified and injured in the incident from broken glass. That included her arms, her tongue and her bottom from sitting on the glass. She was apparently talking to him when he broke the glass causing some to enter her mouth.
The case was scheduled for trial on July 17, but according to Senior Assistant District Attorney Steve Maxwell, the trial may be continued. No new date was announced.
