HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A 29-year-old woman, free on a $5,250 bond after she allegedly struck a pedestrian with her vehicle early in the morning on May 26, made a first appearance Monday morning.
Amber Dawn Morris was told that she is charged with aggravated battery because of being intoxicated. Her vehicle struck 29-year-old Theodore “Ted” C. Vollnogel in the 1400 block of East 26th.
He was transported to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center and admitted for severe scrapes to his body and fractured ribs.
Morris was also charged with a misdemeanor offense of having no driver’s license.
The accident occurred just before 2 a.m., on Memorial Day morning
