The only injury accident worked by the Sheriff’s Office occurred around 6:50 a-m, at K-96 and Halstead.
They say the vehicle could not be seen from the highway, but the skid marks started on K-96 and went through the north ditch and into a dry pond area. A Deputy spoke with the driver, 45-year-old Isabel Millan of Hutchinson. She stated she was driving 70 mph when she lost control of her 2002 Jeep Liberty on the ice. The vehicle then began to slide and went into the north ditch before striking a fence and landing in a dry pond.
Millan was transported to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries more as a precaution then anything else.
Reno County Undersheriff Sheldon Stewart reports that there were 15-accidents reported in the county Monday morning.
