Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System employees recently donated 1-thousand, 51-dollars to the Salvation Army as a part of the Healthcare System’s “Blue Jeans Friday” promotion.

Blue Jeans Friday was established in 2011 at Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System. To participate, employees donate $3 weekly or $10 monthly and, in return, are permitted to wear jeans to work on Fridays.

Each month, a committee of healthcare system employees meet to designate an area non-profit organization as a recipient of these funds.

Kevin Miller, President and CEO of Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System, said the donation to the Salvation Army is very timely in that the needs of this organization are increasing.

To date, Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System employees have donated approximately $30,000 to area non-profits during the three year history of “Blue Jeans Friday.”

The Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System includes Health-E-Quip, Ray E. Dillon Living Center, Horizons Mental Health Center, Hospice and Homecare of Reno County, Hutchinson Regional Medical Center and the Hutchinson Regional Medical Foundation.
