At the end of the school year, Obee Elementary School east of Hutchinson will be closing. In honor and recognition of the school closing, the administration and staff are having an open house from 1 to 4 p-m, on Sunday, April 6 at the school at 4712 E. 4th.
There will be a short recognition ceremony at 1:30 p-m, as well as grades K-3 singing songs, and the 5th and 6th grade band performing.
They are preparing to bid a fond farewell to the school and welcome in the new and exciting changes happening in Buhler USD 313, which includes the opening of the Plum Creek Elementary school located on 43 rd, between Plum & Lorraine.
