We now have the name of the man found in McPherson early Thursday morning. He has been identified as 26-year-old Ernest Charles Miller of McPherson.
McPherson Police officials say that an autopsy was conducted on Miller at the Sedgwick County Regional Forensic Science Center in Wichita on Friday and concluded the cause of death was asphyxia and blunt trauma, however they say the manner of death is undetermined until results of a toxicology report are received.
McPherson police had indicated to us Thursday night that they located the vehicle they were looking for in connection to the death of Miller.
Police say two people discovered the body of Miller outside a storage shed in the city.
They have not said where the 2010 Ford Focus was found, or how it was connected to the death.
The case is an active investigation but police have not yet classified the death as a homicide.
